The Charli XCX European tour has just gained a run of six arena dates, with the artist announcing stops in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London, Amsterdam, and Paris to follow the North American leg of her Music, Fashion, Film tour.
The European run opens at Dublin’s 3 Arena on 13 February, moves through Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 15 February and Co-Op Live in Manchester on 17 February, then hits The O2 in London on 19 February before closing out in Amsterdam at the Ziggo Dome on 22 February and Paris’s Accor Arena on 24 February.
First Solo All-Arena Tour
What makes this run more than a routine extension of the North American dates is the scale behind it. According to Charli XCX Wiki, the Music, Fashion, Film tour is her first solo all-arena concert tour. Her previous tour incorporated only 12 arena dates across 36 stops, making the current run a clear step up in ambition.
The European leg is short by design. Speaking to Shaad D’Souza, Charli was candid about why she keeps her tours tight: ‘I always have such an admiration for people who go on tour for a long time. The stamina that it takes is just not something that I particularly care to get. And the monotony, doing the same thing over and over again doesn’t feel alive enough for me.’
Six dates, six arenas. For UK and European fans who have spent months watching the North American run from a distance, that directness is probably welcome enough.
Supporting Acts and Ticket Charity
Audrey Hobert and Underscores are listed as supporting acts on the tour, according to Charli XCX Wiki. Both are American artists, and their presence adds another layer to what is shaping up as a carefully curated live package rather than a straightforward pop arena show.
There is a broader gesture attached to the ticketing, too. StyleCaster reports that Charli XCX announced she will be donating a minimum of $200,000 from the sale of charity tickets to benefit the Transgender Law Center. That commitment was made ahead of the North American dates and extends across the tour cycle.
The Full Charli XCX European Tour Schedule
The European dates sit at the tail end of a run that has already taken in major North American venues, including Barclays Center in Brooklyn, TD Garden in Boston, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, and two appearances at the Austin City Limits Music Festival. The move from festival stages to enclosed arenas across two continents marks the consistent thread of the whole campaign.
Here are the confirmed Charli XCX European tour dates:
13 February, Dublin, Ireland (3 Arena
15 February, Glasgow, Scotland) OVO Hydro
17 February, Manchester, England (Co-Op Live
19 February, London, England) The O2
22 February, Amsterdam, Netherlands (Ziggo Dome
24 February, Paris, France) Accor Arena
For UK fans in particular, the Co-Op Live and O2 dates give two bites at seeing a show that has been one of the more discussed live productions of this touring season. Glasgow at the OVO Hydro fills out what is essentially a full circuit of the UK’s biggest indoor rooms in under a week, which is efficient even by the standards of artists who prefer brevity over endurance.
Tickets for the Charli XCX European tour are available via Ticketmaster and StubHub.
