Victoria Monét has announced the Victoria Monét Frequency of Love Tour, a North American headlining run spanning late October through December, timed to the release of her forthcoming album Frequency of Love. The run takes in most major US and Canadian cities, with a headline slot at Madison Square Garden in New York on 24 November among the dates confirmed.
From Jaguar II to Frequency of Love
The new album marks Monét’s follow-up to her 2023 debut Jaguar II, according to Pitchfork. Three singles have arrived ahead of its release: “Reach Out”, which was produced by Kaytranada; “Let Me”; and most recently “Juicy”, shared alongside the tour announcement. “On My Mama”, from Jaguar II, landed at number 30 in Pitchfork’s 100 Best Songs of 2023, so expectations heading into this album cycle are not modest.
The Madison Square Garden date is the clearest signal of where Monét sits right now. Plenty of artists announce MSG; not all of them fill it. Placing it mid-tour rather than as a closer suggests a confidence in the room that feels earned rather than aspirational.
A Summer of European Stages Before the Victoria Monét Frequency of Love Tour
Before turning attention to North America, Monét spent the summer on a European run supporting Bruno Mars on the European leg of his Romantic Tour. That run had added texture to it: Anderson .Paak joined as DJ Pee .Wee, and the package visited Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and further cities across the continent. It is the kind of circuit that sharpens a live show considerably, and the Victoria Monét Frequency of Love Tour will be the first chance for North American audiences to see what she has taken from it.
The tour opens in Raleigh, North Carolina on 27 October at Red Hat Amphitheater before moving through the south and into the northeast. Dates in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago follow across November, with the Toronto stop at Coca-Cola Coliseum on 21 November representing the first of two Canadian shows. Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on 12 December is the other.
The December leg swings west, with dates in Phoenix, San Diego, Inglewood, Las Vegas, Seattle, Sacramento, and San Francisco rounding out the run. The final show lands at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on 17 December.
