A new Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) is set to launch in Nigeria, as Telness Tech partners with VAS2Nets and Lebara to introduce an innovative telecom service aimed at the country’s rapidly expanding telecommunications market. The venture combines Telness Tech’s industry-leading software and customer experience with Lebara’s internationally recognised telecom brand, marking the company’s entry into the Nigerian market.

The partnership will leverage Telness Tech’s fully automated platform to streamline and manage the operations of the new operator. With its focus on providing a seamless, high-quality customer experience, the platform will be central to the service’s success. Lebara, an MVNO with a strong presence across Europe, will extend its reach to Nigeria, bringing its established brand to a new and growing region.

This multi-company collaboration includes Processcom, which will provide the mobile core infrastructure necessary for the new network to function, as well as VAS2Nets, the lead partner coordinating the efforts of all involved. The partnership aims to offer both prepaid and postpaid mobile services, with plans for future developments in PBX solutions.

Martina Klingvall, CEO and Founder of Telness Tech, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating: “This partnership is a significant step in Telness Tech’s international expansion. Following our recent entry into the U.S. market, bringing our advanced telecom technology to Nigeria alongside Lebara’s recognised brand and VAS2Nets’ local expertise is an exciting opportunity. We are confident that this will deliver a world-class mobile service for Nigeria’s growing digital population.”

The deal, which runs for several years, represents a major investment in Nigeria’s telecom sector. As one of the first new mobile operators to launch in the country in recent years, this initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the industry, introducing both innovative services and competitive pricing to meet the demands of a growing consumer base.

Teniola Stuffman, Group Executive Director of Business Development at VAS2Nets, added: “This collaboration is an important opportunity to bring affordable, high-quality mobile services to Nigerians. The combined expertise of VAS2Nets, Telness Tech, and Lebara, along with Processcom’s infrastructure, will allow us to launch one of the most advanced telecom services in Nigeria in recent years. We are proud to lead this initiative.”

Daniel Upson, Director of Partnerships at Lebara, also expressed excitement about the partnership: “We’re thrilled to be bringing Lebara’s brand to Nigeria, combining our global reach with Telness Tech’s cutting-edge technology and VAS2Nets’ local expertise. We believe this collaboration will provide Nigerians with a world-class mobile experience.”

This new MVNO will be a key player in Nigeria’s dynamic telecommunications sector, offering consumers innovative mobile services at competitive prices while contributing to the country’s growing digital economy.
