As the world prepares to mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Discovery Education has launched new resources aimed at inspiring the next generation of female STEM innovators. Celebrated annually on February 11, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an initiative adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. The observance aims to promote equal access and participation of women in STEM fields, encouraging the next generation of women scientists, engineers, and innovators.
Now in its tenth year, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is a timely opportunity for educators to inspire students with the achievements of women in science, both past and present. - Immersive Learning: This suite of immersive classroom resources includes virtual reality (VR) experiences and virtual field trips that bring STEM learning to life. Discovery Education’s free Sandbox AR app also enables students to experience STEM in an interactive, augmented reality environment.
