Krafty Entertainment, a London-based production and digital distribution company, has acquired a 17.5% equity stake in Sports First TV, the world’s first global sports news TV channel. The investment marks a significant move for Krafty as it seeks to expand its content library and future sports programming on a global scale.

Launched in March 2024, Sports First TV is revolutionising the delivery of sports news worldwide. The channel, which is available on FAST platforms across North America, was founded by Frank Brown, the former CEO of Viacom International Media/MTV Networks. With a vast industry background, Brown brings a wealth of experience to the channel, based in Sydney, Australia.

John Warrington, CEO of Krafty Entertainment, shared his excitement about the strategic partnership, saying, “We’re delighted to be partnering with Sports First TV. Frank is a visionary with an exceptional track record. In creating Sports First TV, he’s brought something truly unique to the market. This investment provides us with an outlet for our content library and future sports programming globally, positioning us for growth despite current market conditions.”

The acquisition comes at a time when sports broadcasting and coverage are rapidly evolving, with fans demanding more access and engagement. Sports First TV is designed to cater to this demand, offering cutting-edge sports news and analysis to a global audience. As a result, Krafty Entertainment believes its partnership with the channel will help safeguard the company from future market volatility.

Frank Brown, Founder and CEO of Sports First TV, expressed confidence in the partnership, saying, “Krafty Entertainment’s involvement will accelerate our growth as we continue to reshape how sports news is delivered worldwide. The belief that Kevin Conroy and John Warrington have in our vision is a strong indicator of Sports First TV’s potential to become a leader in global sports media.”

Kevin Conroy, Chairman of Krafty Entertainment and Founder of ConroyCo Ventures, also voiced his support, stating, “This investment is a perfect fit for Krafty. Sports First TV offers something innovative to a passionate global sports fanbase. At a time when sports storytelling is rapidly evolving, this partnership will allow us to combine our resources and expertise to drive future growth.”

With the backing of Krafty Entertainment, Sports First TV is poised to expand its reach and further cement its position in the competitive sports broadcasting industry. The partnership aligns both companies for future success, promising a more dynamic and engaging platform for sports fans around the world.
