Dinosaur Jr have confirmed Dinosaur Jr 2027 tour dates running from February through March across North America, with Los Angeles rockers Starcrawler along for the ride as support on the majority of shows. The run extends a fall 2026 tour the band had only just kicked off, and arrives ahead of the release of There Near, their first new album in five years.
There Near, Out 28 August on Jagjaguwar
According to Pitchfork, There Near lands on 28 August via Jagjaguwar. The 2026 fall leg supporting that record features Stef Chura as support, before Starcrawler takes over the billet for the 2027 run. Two Brooklyn Steel nights open the new dates on 11 and 12 February, and the tour works its way south through Philadelphia, Silver Spring, the Carolinas and Florida before looping back through the Midwest and up to Toronto, closing out in Boston on 13 March.
J Mascis and co. have kept themselves fairly busy in the lead-up to this campaign. Earlier in 2026, Mascis swapped cover songs with Mike Watt for a split 7″. Before that, the band toured the US on a co-headlining run with Snail Mail. The pace hasn’t let up.

New Video and the Wider Picture
Alongside the tour announcement, Dinosaur Jr dropped a music video for ‘Everything At Once’, directed by Guy Kozak. The clip follows a medieval knight through a quietly absurdist rural American day: mowing the lawn, washing the car, barbecuing, sitting on a fallen log in the woods. It is exactly as deadpan as it sounds, and very much in keeping with the band’s long-running refusal to take the theatrics of rock too seriously.
Jagjaguwar has built a strong catalogue of records around this kind of unhurried, guitar-forward American music, and There Near fits the label’s roster without much squinting. For Dinosaur Jr, a band who have been making records since the mid-1980s, a new album cycle still generates genuine anticipation rather than nostalgia-tour energy, the 2027 dates sell that argument pretty well, with a run of rooms like First Avenue and the House of Blues suggesting healthy demand.
Starcrawler get a decent stretch of shows out of the support slot, which runs across most of the February and March dates. Tickets and further information are available through the band’s usual channels.
