OsamaSon All-Leaks Set Turns First Class Fest Into a Statement

OsamaSon all-leaks set

The OsamaSon all-leaks set at Toronto’s First Class Fest over the weekend was less a conventional rap show and more a deliberate act of reclamation. Bumped onto both nights of the festival following a lineup shakeup, the rapper used his Saturday slot (29 August) to perform 18 songs drawn entirely from unreleased material, turning what could have been a chaotic situation into something that felt almost defiant.

The OsamaSon All-Leaks Set: What He Played

The 18-song setlist included live debuts of ‘All Day’, ‘Range Rover’, ‘Guap in My Pants’, ‘Movie’, ‘Broad’, and ‘Creek’, alongside a run of other unheard tracks. No album cuts. No crowd-pleasers pulled from his back catalogue. Just music that, under normal circumstances, he would have chosen the moment and context for himself. The fact he went there willingly, on a festival stage in front of a live crowd, says plenty about where OsamaSon’s head is at right now.

Because the leaks are not a new problem. They are practically a defining feature of his career at this point.

A Career Haunted by Leakers

In 2024, a data dump of more than 400 unreleased OsamaSon tracks hit the internet, an almost unfathomable haul that robbed him of control over a significant chunk of his creative work. Then, in January 2025, his album Jump Out was leaked weeks before its scheduled release date, stripping away the entire promotional runway he would have had: the trailers, the previews, the music videos, the build-up.

He spoke to The Fader about it at the time, and his frustration was palpable. ‘I’m happy they want it so bad. But if they would give me a chance, I’d drop that shit,’ he said. ‘When y’all drop the shit for me, if I wanted to drop a trailer, if I wanted to go on live and preview it, if I wanted to do a music video, it all goes out the window.’

That quote lands differently now. The First Class Fest performance feels like a direct, if wordless, response to the whole situation: if the leakers are going to remove his ability to craft a debut moment for his music, he will manufacture a new kind of debut moment himself, on a stage, in front of people who showed up to see him.

It is not a fix. The loss of control over release strategy is real, and no festival set recovers the months of planning a leak can obliterate. But there is something in the gesture. OsamaSon is not retreating into silence while he waits for the situation to resolve itself. He is performing the music anyway.

His most recent album, Psykotic, arrived in 2025, and received a review from Pitchfork. Beyond that, he has been teasing a collaborative album with Nettspend, a project that will no doubt be on the radar of whoever was responsible for the previous data dumps. The fan hunger is genuine and enormous. The methods some are using to satisfy it are the problem.

The 18-song First Class Fest setlist spanned tracks including ‘LeBron James’, ‘Lil O the Impaler’, ‘Horses’, ‘Roster’, ‘Snowman’, ‘Beat It / Private’, ‘HiTech Demon’, ‘Ref’, ‘Habits’, ‘Vamp City’, ‘Off That!’, ‘My Bad’, and ‘Walden’, in addition to the live debuts named above. When the album version of any of these eventually surfaces, the crowd at First Class Fest will already know every word.
