Trivium and In Flames have confirmed a co-headline Trivium In Flames European tour running from March to May 2027, with Paleface Swiss and Vola completing the bill, and the routing is cleverly split so each band closes the show on their home turf.
The package kicks off with a run of Irish and UK dates from 29 March to 4 April. Trivium headline those nights, culminating in a show at Alexandra Palace in London on 3 April. Then the tour rolls onto the European mainland from 6 April through to 7 May, taking in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Austria and beyond. When the run hits Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland) In Flames take the top of the bill.

The Trivium In Flames European tour in context
This announcement lands hot on the heels of a North American run the two bands revealed last month. That package sees Trivium headline, with In Flames as special guest, and Orbit Culture, Fit For An Autopsy and Frozen Soul in support. Those shows move across the US and Canada in November and December.
The European dates were preceded by a pointed moment of live history. Trivium singer/guitarist Matt Heafy joined In Flames on stage at Goteborg Brinner, the Swedish band’s Gothenburg festival, singing their 1996 track Artifacts Of The Black Rain. Heafy later reflected on the relationship in a social media post: ‘We’ve toured with In Flames six times now since 2005; and it’s been amazing to be able to go from a super fan, to a peer, to close friends.’
That personal connection runs through both bands’ public statements and gives the co-headline format a logic beyond mere logistics. These are not two acts bolted together by a booking agent, there’s genuine history here.
For Trivium, the Trivium In Flames European tour arrives at a pointed moment in their own timeline. The band have been working on new music through 2026 and have teased the ‘unofficial start’ of their ‘next era.’ Their forthcoming record will be their 11th studio album and their first with drummer Alex Rudinger, formerly of Whitechapel. Their previous album, In The Court Of The Dragon, came out in 2021.
In Flames, meanwhile, are deep into the touring cycle behind Foregone, their 2023 record, which marked a return to melodic death metal territory after years spent in alt-metal and more electronic-leaning directions. The Scandinavian headline nights on this run will feel like a homecoming.
