About Skatta & Y-Etizm
Coventry born and raised, Skatta is a special kind of artist, with a passion for his art form and a distinctive sound that sets him apart. Skatta has already achieved more than most at his age. Having collaborated with both American and British singers, rappers and producers, Skatta is laying down tracks for a new generation... and the music industry is listening up.
Previously, Skatta was requested as a guest on BBC 1xtra, and host Sian Anderson's described him as "one of my favourites to ever do it", describing his voice as "captivating". Since then he has performed live at Godiva Festival, Portobello Live, Kamio Red Gallery Shoreditch, Grime 4 Corbyn London Styx, Fubar Radio, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4 Today, BBC Radio 5 Live In Short, hosted his own show on Pyro Radio, appeared on Brapp TV, Red Bull Raise The Bar, SBTV and much more.
Yetizm is Skatta’s collaborator, the one-man band on the MPC, who will blow you away with his unique live performance, showcasing his ability to deliver multiple genres with his fingers alone. With styles ranging from jazz to hip hop, grime to dubstep he energetically works the machinery on stage, and seamlessly creates a live experience by engineering tracks from scratch, mixing them into new songs. The Hungary born artist also known as Yeti is a skilled producer and finger drummer, thanks to years of graft, research and a natural gift on the MPC, which is a sample based drum machine which has been adopted as an essential ingredient of hip hop production. He has performed at a number of festivals and club nights in NYC, UK, France, Poland, Hungary, supporting legends like Sean Price, Funkdoobiest, Jeremy Ellis, HD Been Dope, Stig Of The Dump and more.
