About Sean Adams
Back in 1997, before the word "blog" was coined, Sean was blogging about music. In 2000, with a bunch of fanzine writers and opinionated people from message boards, he launched Drowned in Sound, which now - in 2018 - has over 3million visitors a year. In that time, the site has spawned an independent record label responsible for launching the careers of Kaiser Chiefs, Bat for Lashes and Martha Wainwright; a multi award-winning podcast (back in 2006?!), and the connections it has forged have resulted in bands forming, club nights starting, and quite a few wedding ceremonies. Sean has also managed artists and been a columnist for The Sunday Times. He is now the social media producer for BBC Radio 6 Music.
