Sarpa Salpa are a 4-piece indie pop band from Northampton who formed in 2016.

The band made up of George (guitar), Marcus (guitar & vox), Charlie (drums) & Ethan (bass) have been honing their live craft on the regional & national circuit with some sell out headline shows, as well as supports with Inheaven & Electric 6.  Over Summer ‘18 the band hit the festival circuit hard, being invited to play over 25 festivals based purely on their music submission rather than the hype of the band.  As well as some great UK festivals this also included a run of shows in France & a headline show of the Mano Music Festival in Germany where the band closed a 2000 capacity festival.  The band wrapped the summer outings up with a live show for BBC Introducing at The Big Feastival on Alex James’s (blur) Farm.

Sarpa Salpa put out their low key release ‘She Never Lies’ on Spotify at the back end of 2017 and then following the busy summer of dates released their first proper single SMITH on a limited 7’’ single and all digital platforms in September 2018. The single has seen the band’s social media presence triple overnight and a massive increase of people following  their Spotify page.   Since then their music has been played on: 6 Music by Steve Lamacq, BBC Introducing Northamptonshire, Amazing Radio and more!

“Latest single ‘Smith’ takes you on a journey, from janky echoing guitars to punchy beats, sad soaring synth, and back into funky town. Only to end in a crescendo of brutal guitar and desperation filled vocals’’ - Indiecentralmusic.com
