I am Managing Director of Sample Clearance Services (http://www.sampleclearance.com) a UK market leader in sample and music rights clearance, we have an array clients of including Universal Music, Sony Music and most recently media giants Youtube & Google, Patrick Topping, Seth Troxler & Eats Everything, Dizzee Rascal Fatboy Slim & Daft Punk….. Our Core areas are sample clearance (and our name sake) synch licensing, content licensing ( a growth area) and legal & business affairs and label services for independent labels.
In addition I am a music lawyer with 15 years experience in the industry. I've worked across most aspects of the industry on the business side. I began from humble beginning in clubs and promotion as Manageress of Club Savannah (In Brighton) and then to big beat dance label Skint records (Fatboy Slim, Dave Clarke & John Digweed X-press 2), after we sold the label to BMG six years ago. I moved to Universal Music (Virgin), Imagem Music Publishing, and then 4 years to General manager & legal counsel for music management company of Crown Talent & Media Group (Jessie Jay, Union Jay Becky Hill, Ella Henderson, Louis Berry etc). I now work as MD at Sample Clearance Services & Reids Media Law.
