Ruth is a Creative and Licensing Sync Manager at Warner Music UK. Beginning her career at Abbey Road Studios with film supervision company HotHouse Music, Ruth learnt the ropes assisting music supervisors across films such as The Inbetweeners 2, Suffragette, and Philomena.
With over five years music industry experience, Ruth heads up the trailer and television sync denominations at Warner Music UK, placing their artists’ music into as many opportunities as possible.
This includes track placements in trailers, such as Last Christmas (2019) out later this year, to everything from Sky Sports and BBC Sport shows (Football Focus/MOTD), to working closely with music supervisors on Netflix shows ie. End of The F**king World, Sex Education, TopBoy, to bespoke pieces for Hollyoaks, to reality TV shows such as The Circle, Made In Chelsea, and of course Love Island.
Ruth also has an ear for new music and through Warner Music’s boutique publishing company W Songs, she signs emerging talent to help give writers/artists further exposure and a leg-up through sync.
Her passion for music underpins her breadth of music knowledge and expertise.
