    About Robin

Robin studied trumpet aged 7 at the Yorkshire College of music and went on to study under the excellent direction of Stuart Russell.

Throughout the eighties and early nineties, Robin gigged and played in various bands, the high point being a Radio One session with his band Brazil.

In 1991 Robin turned freelance and started to write music for TV along with composing several albums for library companies KPM and Bosworth. One notable production was Kay Mellor’s children’s drama for Yorkshire Television ‘Just Us’

Robin started at Rare in 1994; his first game was the arcade classic ‘Killer Instinct’

In 2001 Robin won a BAFTA for his sound work on the Nintendo 64 game ‘Conker’s Bad Fur Day’

More recently, Robin was awarded an Ivor Novello for his score for the pirate-themed shared-world adventure game, Sea of Thieves.

Still at Rare to this day, Robin is currently busy writing music for their next batch of exciting releases.
