About Rich Le Gate
Rich Le Gate is a content producer and musician, with experience in
broadcasting, festivals and houseplants.
sacrificing his degree at Leeds University to become totally immersed in
Student Radio, Rich joined BBC Radio 6 Music as an assistant producer. He then
moved into the world of digital content production, working across various
events with the BBC; including Glastonbury, the Proms, Radio 1's Big Weekend
and Reading Festival. From 2014 Rich worked with BBC Music introducing as the
brand's Content Producer, managing social channels, video content from
festivals and the re-development of BBC Introducing's Uploader platform, used
by over 750,000 artists.
Alongside content production, at the age of 18 Rich co-founded independent festival 'LeeFest', now known as 'Neverworld'. The festival grew from a bizarre party in a garden to an award winning weekend of music and arts, attended by thousands. Rich spent 9 years as artist booker, securing early festival performances from: Years & Years, Jack Garratt, Young Fathers, Public Service Broadcasting, MØ, Fickle Friends, Bastille and many more.
