    About Novelist

    Once dubbed ‘The Poster Boy of Grime’, Novelist (real name Kojo Kankam) has gone on to become a respected 2018 Mercury Prize nominee with his debut album ‘Novelist Guy’ which he had mastered at the world famous Abbey Road Studios. Novelist drew inspiration at the early age of six years old; his primary influences came from UK underground music DVDs that were in circulation at the time, as well as the pirate radio stations on air showcasing UK underground music. After years of radio sets, tours and festivals, the artist more commonly known for is ascension through the ranks within the genre of Grime has created a solid foundation where he’s recognised for his breadth as a musician.

    Novelist will be part of Abbey Road Studios' Songwriting Masterclass, leading a discussion on the art of songwriting, sharing invaluable advice and insights for the next generation of musical talent.
