  • 11:45 - 12:45
  • Thursday 8 November
  • Discovery Theatre presented by Spotify

The BBC is thrilled to host legendary musician Nile Rodgers and acclaimed music executive and manager, Merck Mercuriadis, for a special discussion.

As co-founder of CHIC and the newly elected Chairman of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, Nile Rodgers is a true music icon. A GRAMMY-winning composer, producer, arranger, and guitarist who constantly traverses new musical terrain and expands the boundaries of popular music, Rodgers counts chart-topping hits including 'Le Freak' and 'Good Times' amongst his legendary catalogue.

In conversation with Merck Mercuriadis, the acclaimed artist manager and managing partner of Hipgnosis Songs Ltd, Nile discusses the art of songwriting, his journey through the music business, and what excites him about the future of music, as well as sharing invaluable advice for the next generation of musical talent.
