Nick Ruskell is an award-nominated music journalist with a long history at esteemed rock magazine Kerrang!. Starting as a writer in his first year at university in 2003, Nick spent four years as a contributor to the magazine before being appointed Reviews Editor in 2007. Since then he has worked as the magazine’s Features Editor, Associate Editor, and was this year promoted to Senior Editor. He’s also been published in The Guardian, Planet Rock, The Independent and many other titles. Across that time, Nick has walked on The Great Wall Of China with Nightwish, taken afternoon tea with Ozzy, thrown buckets of water over a half-naked Fall Out Boy, swapped terrible jokes with Marilyn Manson, and ended up looking after Will Smith at a Kerrang! party. This year, he’s written cover stories on Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Iron Maiden, Behemoth and Muse among others, as well as helping to steer the Kerrang! brand into its brave new world as it expands its reach to maintain its position as the world’s leading rock music brand. His one regret of his career is that meeting Bryan Adams continues to elude him.
