Lauren Down is the Managing Director of End of The Road - a critically acclaimed, independent festival for real music fans. It has, over the years, seen the likes of Sufjan Stevens, Patti Smith, St. Vincent, Vampire Weekend, Father John Misty, Tame Impala, Joanna Newsom, Bon Iver, Courtney Barnett, Idles and Sigur Rós perform.
Having attended the festival every year since 2009 - first as a fan, then as a member of the press - she joined the team in 2014 as Festival Manager before taking up her current position just one year into the job. Joining End of the Road meant leaving her career in PR behind - having previously worked campaigns for Caribou, Angel Olsen, Matthew E. White, Nadine Shah, James Holden, Natalie Prass, Pond, Jens Lekman, Japandroids and The War On Drugs.
When she's not running around a field in Dorset with more walkie-talkies than she has hands, she can be found scribbling words for London in Stereo, Loud & Quiet and The Line of Best Fit - where she held the position of Deputy Editor for 5 years, before becoming a Contributing Editor in 2018.
