Jon has been involved with music since leaving school. Starting as a guitarist Jon was drawn to the technical side and soon started work as a sound engineer for local bands. A thirty plus year career has seen him work around the world, primarily as a live sound engineer for acts like Radiohead, Pulp, Stereophonics and for the last 15 years The Prodigy. Jon decided to move into teaching this year and is just starting on the Sound and Lights course at the University of Derby. Just before his retirement from touring, Jon spent the summer of 2019 having a great time mixing Front of House for Biffy Clyro. Jon has also worked in TV and radio on such shows as TOTP and Later with Jools. In 2009 Jon, with a colleague, a built a 5 studio recording complex, The Laundry Rooms, in Sheffield. Now a full-time lecturer in Live Sound Jon still gets a chance to mix the odd show and recording as well as contributing articles to magazines like Sound on Sound.
