About Jamila Scott
Jamila is currently A&R Manager at Warner Brothers Records. She was previously A&R at Method Records (Liv Dawson, Jack Vallier, Slowthai, Zion B), and developed songwriters and producers for the management arm of the company, as well as playing a key role in Method Music publishing. Formerly, as A&R at Polydor, Scott was instrumental in signing Years & Years to the label, the band scored a number one album with their debut record. Scott also helped to sign and A&R Joel Compass (the young artist/writer/producer has external cuts on Twigs, Jorja Smith and Mabel), and Lion Babe for records. Jamila also runs tastemaker blog Cruel Rhythm and has curated a number of parties at SXSW in conjunction with Hype Machine that has seen the likes of Anderson Paak, Dua Lipa, Kehlani and Jungle play.
