    About Iain

Iain is a Grammy Nominated songwriter, with two Ivor Novello Awards, a UK #1 single and a third Ivor Novello Award Nomination. He made two solo albums before joining Snow Patrol, co-writing Ivor Novello Award winning album ‘Final Straw’, including top 5 single ‘Run’ (UK No 1 for Leona Lewis). Iain produced & co-wrote tracks on Jake Bugg’s Mercury Music Prize nominated, No.1 debut album, including singles ‘Lightning Bolt,’ ‘Taste It’ & ‘Trouble Town’, receiving an Ivor Novello Award Nomination for ‘Two Fingers’. James Bay’s No1 Album ‘The Chaos And The Calm’ saw Iain co-write three singles, including ‘Hold Back The River’ (The Ivors - Most Performed Work). He has taught at BIMM, Bath Spa University, and is Visiting Professor to Leeds College of Music. Iain is a great believer in the sharing of ideas - he loves to collectively push and pull the notion of ‘song’ to see where it can be taken.
