Frank Hamilton isn’t your typical artist. His first album happened by accident, he hasn’t had a manager for six years and he regularly goes awol from social media...
His first EP ‘You Your Cat & Me’ fought off an early incarnation of Sia to grace UK radio-waves and propel him to the top of the Myspace Indie charts (RIP).
Then came #OneSongaWeek, a year-long project that started in his living room and finished with a Number 1 album on iTunes, featuring songs written with Ed Sheeran and Newton Faulkner. The ‘Best of’ was released on Frank’s own label, selling over 15 000 copies, with lead single ‘Flaws & Ceilings’ notching well over 100 000 iTunes downloads (RIP).
His second LP ‘Songs To Make Life Slightly Less Awkward’ quickly notched over 5 million streams and was dubbed “an existential crisis set to music”.
He also recorded a live EP with a string quartet on the London Eye in the time it takes to go round once (28 minutes) and hosts an annual christmas show, which started in a living room and recently wound up at Scala.
