Frances is Head of Business Affairs as well as General Counsel at Domino, a leading independent record label and publisher that is proud home to Arctic Monkeys, Cat Power, Franz Ferdinand, Superorganism and many more.
A typical day may involve negotiating recording and publishing deals, advising Domino's digital, synchronisation, distribution, and creative teams in London, New York, LA, Paris and Berlin, working with external stakeholders large and small, and putting in place strategies to support and further Domino's impressive growth over the past 25 years.
Prior to joining Domino, Frances trained at Lewis Silkin and was an associate at SSB. She also worked in environmental think-tanks, accompanied a legendary all-female punk band on their last US tour, and completed a Masters at NYU that involved working with breakdancers in Washington Heights and studying the therapeutic applications of music. Although surrounded by music at work, Frances has a deep appreciation of nature. She is a long-term meditator and likely to be found in the wilderness, climbing mountains, hitch-hiking solo through West Africa or living off-grid in the Arctic Circle.
