Example’s career spans the past decade. With sales totalling over 12 million, three top 10 albums, two number 1 singles, seven top 10 singles, a US No.1 as a songwriter and sold out headline shows across the world under his belt, Example is one of the UK dance music’s most successful male solo artists.
His recently released mixtape “Bangers and Ballads” via AWAL Recordings, is his first body of work since 2014. Lead single “Show Me How To Love” continues to amass playlist support and saw Example throw a party for 12 newly wed couples, which was filmed and turned into the music video for the track.
Example explains, “I just wanted to keep things simple, and do what I love doing – big pop club bangers which tell a story (with a few ballads thrown in for the hell of it). After my deal with Ministry of Sound ended after 3 albums, I spent a lot of time thinking and talking about what “direction” I should be going in, and not much time releasing music. So earlier this year I decided to stop over analysing things, take the independent route and just have some fun”
Hot off the back of a run of summer festival dates including SW4 and Rize, Example is back, re-vitalised and ready to rave.
