    About Eleanor

    Eleanor Halls is Commissioning Editor on Culture at The Telegraph, where she commissions, edits and writes features, interviews, reviews and news stories across music, film, theatre, TV, books and art for the website and print. Previously, Eleanor was Senior Staff Writer at GQ magazine, where she focussed on long form including investigative pieces on sexism at Oxford University, impersonation on dating apps and the impact of drill music, as well as celebrity interviews – from Stormzy and Skepta to Naomi Campbell and Jeremy Corbyn, via Anthony Joshua and Ricky Gervais – for the magazine and GQ video. Eleanor also co-hosts a writing podcast Always Take Notes, with pasts guests including the BBC's Editorial Director Kamal Ahmed, Financial Times Editor Lionel Barber, biographer Hermione Lee and authors Ian Rankin and Mark Haddon. Next month, Eleanor will launch a UK music podcast called Straight Up, which champions key industry figures shaping UK music from behind the scenes.
