About Chris Manning
Chris Manning's tenure at The Orchard began in 2008, where he covered a number of aspects across the industry, working in most departments of the company at one time or another. He spent a number of years working with labels like Intec, Dim Mak, Snatch Records, Stealth Records, Mixmag Records, AEI, Mutants, Champion Records and DSB. Alongside these labels, Chris lead efforts on releases from such artists as Carl Cox, Riva Starr, John Dalhback, Nicole Moudaber, Max Cooper, Jon Rundel and Steve Aoki.
As The Orchard continues to grow its digital business, Chris is focused on working with services like Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, through to new, smaller, developing services which are localised to specific territories like UMA, Fizy, Qobuz, Hardwax and so on. Putting deals in place to grow the coverage of the rights The Orchard represents is key.
Chris was heavily involved in the merge of Red Essential to The Orchard in the UK, a huge project. The amalgamated companies represent decades of success in serving the independent music community, currently fostering partnerships with artists such as Skepta as well as Run The Jewels, Giggs, Joey BadA$$, Lower Than Atlantis, Alter Bridge and Anderson .Paak.
