Andy Edwards is music business executive whose career encompasses artist management, tech start-ups, rights acquisition, touring and major record labels (BMG Records and Sony Music). His expertise spans strategy, marketing, business development and commercial dealmaking.
He has conducted business globally with artists, executives and entrepreneurs across all genres of music and with everyone from global superstars to cutting edge names. This includes Genesis, Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens), Chase and Status, Pendulum, James Morrison, Dido, Cher Lloyd, Katherine Jenkins, Feeder, Andreya Triana and many others.
Andy has served on the UK Music board in various capacities and is a former board director of the Music Managers Forum (MMF). He has also advised Imogen Heap and the board of the Featured Artists Coalition (FAC). On a policy level, Andy plays a leading role in pushing a progressive, tech-friendly agenda while fiercely guarding the rights of creators to be fairly remunerated both within the industry and to government.
He leads the Futures Group on behalf of UK Music, which provides an inclusive forum for younger executives in frontline operational roles to input into key areas of industry-level policymaking. The group has tackled issues such as mental health, sexual harassment and diversity and inclusion.
