Starting his career at Leeds based indie labels Dance To The Radio and Slam Dunk Records, Ali Tant guided the careers of bands such as The Pigeon Detectives and You Me At Six selling over 750,000 albums between the 2 bands between 2006 and 2011 before eventually finding himself working at Sony Music’s RED Artist and Label services setup. At RED, Ali worked on campaigns from Skepta’s Mercury Prize winning ‘Konnichiwa’ and Lower Than Atlantis’ breakthrough self titled album to Run The Jewels ‘RTJ2’ & ‘RTJ3’ and Giggs’ ‘Landlord’ album.
In 2017, Ali moved over to Polydor as Senior Marketing Manager. He has guided the UK campaigns of international artists such as Billie Eilish (recently awarded a BRIT Breakthrough for her debut EP), Thirty Seconds To Mars and Eminem, achieving two number 1 albums with ‘Revival’ and the recent record breaking album ‘Kamikaze’ alongside the number 1 single ‘River’, featuring Ed Sheeran.
At Polydor he has worked with Snow Patrol on their recent number 2 album ‘Wildness’ & Roger Daltrey’s recent solo album ‘As Long As I Have You,’ the highest charting solo record of Roger’s illustrious career. Further to this, he is working with Friendly Fires, James Blake and works alongside Dirty Hit on The 1975’s highly anticipated 3rd album, ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships.’
