How to get there

It's easy to travel to Tobacco Dock using public transport.

Nearest Train & Underground Stations
5 minute walk from Shadwell (Overground/DLR)
7 minute walk from Wapping (Overground)

15 minute walk from Tower Hill (District/Circle Line)

Travelling from London King's Cross St Pancras or Euston

Take the Northern Line to Bank, followed by the DLR to Shadwell.

Personal Assistant Tickets

We offer a 2-for-1 scheme for ticket holders with disabilities that would be unable to attend without use of a personal assistant (PA). The following supporting evidence is required: • Middle or Higher rate DLA for care and/or mobility • Receipt of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) • Evidence of being severely sight impaired • CredAbility Access Card +1 category requirement • A recognised Assistance Dog ID card

2018 applications are now open, in order to apply for one you must have already brought a ticket and have one of the above form documentation.

Viewing Accesses

In order to gain access to the viewing areas, you must apply for a Viewing Area (VA) pass, which is to be requested when filling out the Access Requirements Form. This area is reserved solely for the use of permanently disabled customers and unfortunately not for those with broken legs, recent injuries and/ or pregnancies.

Accessible Facilities

Accessible entrance: There will be a separate accessible entrance, due to the main entrance being stepped. This is located right beside the main entrance and there will be a lift which goes to the ground level. There will be staff there to assist with any questions.

Accessible Lift: There is one lift that goes between the two floors, this is the same lift used on entry to the venue.

Accessible Toilets: There are accessible toilets in all three toilet blocks.

Assistance Dogs: We welcome any assistance dogs at BBC Introducing live Should you be unable to attend without one, please complete the Access Requirement Form as instructed.

Medical Services: There will be a medical point which will have a fridge to store any medicine, there will also be a wheelchair charging point here.

Strobe Lighting

Due to the nature of the artists performing at BBC Introducing Live it is likely that strobe lighting will be used throughout the performances. There will not be warnings immediately before a period of strobe lighting.


Parking is limited and needs to be booked through ParkJockey , be aware that pre-booking does guarantee a space if parking in the Tobacco Dock car park.

Public Transport

Shadwell (Overground/ DLR)

  • 10-minute pedestrian journey
  • Until mid-October, there will be no step-free access between platform and street level at Shadwell DLR station while they work on a lift. Whilst this is for October it could extended into November so please visit TFL website for further information.

Wapping (Overground)

  • 10-minute pedestrian journey
  • Until early October, there is a reduced lift service at Wapping. This may extend into November so please visits TFL Website for further up-to-date information.

Tower Hill (District/ Circle line)

  • 20-minute pedestrian journey
  • Accesses from platform to train by manual boarding ramp
  • Access via lifts from platforms.

There will be a taxi rank located near the venue.

  • How old do I need to be to attend BBC Music Introducing LIVE 18'?

    This event is for those aged 16 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 16 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund.

    BBC Music Introducing LIVE 18' is not a festival, although there will be a small number of opportunities available. Drop us a line and we'll share with our bookers.

  • Where’s my ticket?

    Tickets are not dispatched when you place your order, they're dispatched much closer to the event, normally two/three weeks out. If you've not received your ticket ten days out from the start of the event, please contact See Tickets.

  • Can my tickets be refunded if I am unable to attend on the day?

    Unfortunately tickets are non-refundable as per our terms and conditions.
